Tz'arkan Whispers

Major Update 3/30/2021 - Changes are reflected below and in the change notes

Malus Darkblade has a problem. The demon who is struggling to take control of his body is awfully silent. This mod fixes that.

What this mod does:
  • Causes Malus to receive three Tz'arkan Whispers quests at the beginning of turn 2
  • Causes Malus to receive Tz'arkan Whispers quests much more frequently throughout the campaign (over triple the frequency - you should have 2 quests active at most times - see below for a less frequent version of this mod)
  • Not everyone cares to know the exact mechanics behind game features. If you are curious check the change notes

Why this mod:
I was at turn 60 of my Malus Darkblade campaign and had only received 2 whisper quests including the one you initially get at the start. I thought to myself this should be modded. It wasn't.

This mod is only incompatible with other mods that specifically edit the Tzarkan Whispers script file - I know of none that edit this file

This mod is save game compatible - however changes won't affect your game until you receive your next Tz'arkan quest

This mod is really necessary, even if you play with overhauls. Also the missions for Oxyotl are triggered very slowly... Oh man, Creative Assembly is like the poor cousins of Bethesda, their game needs mods to be playable, it's ridiculous

hey does tzarkan whisphers can affect allied factions?( Defensive/Military Alliances)

Although the mod launcher flags it as outdate it still works, good mod.

I downloaded SFO - Grimhammer II and it does not edit the Tzarkan Whispers script file. So you're good to go.

Does this work with SFO?
It doesn't seem to change unit stats or anything

np! For anyone who read the change notes I've discovered that what I had isn't quite how the calculations worked. The mod still works and makes the quests more frequent but my explanation wasn't exactly right. Pretty much Whispers quests happened less frequently than I thought. I'll be making small changes to the numbers now that I better understand the script. When I post that update I'll edit the change notes to have the accurate data on how Whisper quests were calculated before/after my mod.
