描述
This is the work in progress DEVELOPMENT VERSION of LAMBS Danger.fsm
We appreciate any tests and feedback that you can give us. Reuploading to Steam Workshop is not permitted.

Summary
The overall goal is to make buildings part of the AI's available terrain. The AI will dynamically enter and clear buildings holding enemy soldiers. The nature of the the danger.fsm does not make these features a replacement for dedicated scripts and clever use of waypoints.

The AI is a significantly more active combatant. The biggest changes is that the AI is now able to view buildings and structures as part of the tactical terrain. The AI will search through buildings, hide and garrison within, as well as provide suppressive fire against suspected enemy positions. In addition AI reactions to fire, even when the origin is unknown is expanded. The AI will also communicate threats to nearby allies.

2.6.2 RC2 seems to no longer have the freezes, so thanks! However, firefights still chug framerate-wise compared to 2.6.2 dev1. Also: has anyone else encountered some odd bugs where the AI go extreme lengths to seek overwatch/flank positions (e.g. sometimes going 2+ km away from designated waypoints) instead of to their assigned movement waypoints?

@diwako I know about this, bro! I've been deleting it constantly since 2021, but I decided to give it a try in this version, and I had to delete it again. It makes the AI's vision inadequate.

Out of interest, is there a LAMBS setting that can be disabled to alleviate the freezes? For example the 'hide from vehicles' or 'dodge' settings? Or are they part of the core?

I tweaked Antistasi Ultimate to allow LAMBS (it's disabled by default) and use the dev version but any time I get into a battle I get intermittent short freezes or lingering performance drops down to 20-30fps even on a 9800x3d/5090. I love LAMBS so much I can't face playing without it these days.

Anyway, thanks for the long-term efforts team. You have certainly prolonged the life of Arma 3, at least in my book.

Range pbo's ai sensitivity has not changed since 2021.

For vehicles, the lambs range looks tolerable, but for infantry it is greatly exaggerated (IMHO)

Lambs_range.pbo looks greatly exaggerated.

You've increased the AI's vision range, and your ranges may look good in open spaces and during the day. But at night and in forests, it feels like cheating.

In vanilla Arma 3, the AI ​​already sees through plants and tree foliage, but with lambs_range.pbo, the AI ​​doubles its cheating. At night, its vision range also increases.

Please give to player the available settings for detection range. Every time I'm forced to simply delete this PBO, only this way the AI ​​looks more adequate

We are aware of the freezing, there are a few internal builds being tested right now.
