Vijaya II Class Carrier

The B.A.S. fleet lineup would never be complete without a carrier. To this end, the old Vijaya class medium carrier was given an in depth overhaul. Capable of hovering safely in most gravity wells one might encounter. She is equipped with an ample on board hydrogen supply, though uses a combination of hydrogen and ion to get around.

Her hangar bay can comfortably fit four fighter craft and, when sealed, are fully pressurized and well protected. Her hull is of mixed heavy and light armor construction, and there is a self-repair projector for ease of maintenance. There is also an exposed landing pad on her rear dorsal section. She isn't just about taking hits, however, as she is armed enough to be a threat in her own right. 11-Gatling and 11-Missile turrets stud her hull with overlapping fields of fire, making her a prickly thorn to remove in a fight, even if unescorted.

Running under the flight deck is a manufacturing sector, with four assemblers and refineries. A medical bay, set of cryo tubes, emergency cockpit, and two redundant survival kits are available. There's also a mess hall, briefing room, observation deck, and living quarters for 8 crew. A cavernous engine chamber is available to directly repair her 8-jump drives and two large reactors, as well as access her rear set of gyroscopes and large cargo bins. Her front set of gyros can be accessed directly from one of her upper decks. All rooms in the vessel are piped with oxygen.
