Cyndi Lauper became a huge star in the 80's with a series of massive hits, including her version of "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" in 1983.

In the music video for that song, the part of Lauper's father was played by Captain Lou Albano, who she had met by chance on an airplane. Albano brought Lauper into the WWF as part of the Rock 'n' Wrestling Connection, where she served briefly as Wendi Richter's manager.
