Next up might be a vintage mail truck as someone asked for one and I think it makes sense to do some more vehicles of that era before moving to another theme. I also still got some italian buildings which I am not happy with anymore, so before uploading them I need to make the textures less clean and reduce the tris count. Got some time before the next semester starts so I hope I get done some more assets until then

Sucsessfully reduced the filesize, found a discussion about this problem on simtropolis, Anvaya wrote that it might have something to do with the template the asset creator used for his asset. Seems this just happens sometimes if you use vanilla assets as templates, weird

Yeah I noticed the thing with ne name but tbh I have no idea how to change it. The crp file got the right name. I will take another look into it. What's weird about the size is that the police car version also got a 2048x2048 texutre but the file is much smaller. But I will try with a smaller texture. 2048x2048 probably is way to big for this vehicle anyway. Thank you so far!

I know why. Because the texture size is 2048x2048. while a vehicle asset with 2k-3k tris and 1024x1024 texture takes 2 MB max, size goes up to around 8 MB with 2048x2048 textures, with a prop it goes up 17.You might want to change the textures to 1024x1024 if you want to reduce the file size. Also one more thing, it looks like names of your assets got mixed up, cars name in-game isn't alfa romeo but a building asset name. Still, it's a very nice car. You should fix the names .

Tried to reduce the size by simply not including the normal map but for some reason the .crp file still is 17mb big, although the model and textures in the import folder are less than 7mb. No idea why

Thank you! I am wondering as well...I just took a look, seems like the normal map is huge, should have checked that earlier
