The developers in this game really took the time to make their maps and the lore of L4D2 beautiful, accurate, and consistent. So many other map makers on this workshop have followed suit. What better way to appreciate their work than to explore without danger?

Whether you're looking to explore, lay back, or plan out a path, this addon is a 1 gamemode quick grab n run bringing back those good ol feelings of silence in Halo forge mode or Singleplayer in Gmod.

This addon adds a 4 person (no bots) mutation of Vanilla Left 4 Dead 2 named "Free roam", but the only catch is there is no infected, at all. Complete silence.

The director still functions per normal and the mutation can be used with any campaign. Keep in mind the player can still take damage through environmental hazards and friendly fire. If you need to turn friendly fire off, choose Easy difficulty as the mutation runs Vanilla L4D2 settings.

How to play:

1. Subscribe
2. Select "Free roam" in the mutation list
3. Play!

this is not a proper "free roam" mutation.

i've tried out the mutation and was immediately swarmed by common and special infected, but still alone

just imagine making a horror video of
L4D2 Beta , where someone who cracked the game plays it for the first time , once he died in one of the lvls , suddenly bots and ai zombies disapeard , music was gone and all you could hear is ur own breath , you walk , run to look for anything but there was nothing , only weapons , healing stuff and some of the stuff you should do , was already done by someone , even tho you played Singleplayer.
But you still feel... being watched.
