Just occassionally doing what I do is real joy, ecazador93 came to me about this project a looong time ago, he was so eager to get this project pushed through he made his own arachnid from SCRATCH!

It is my honour to prove the Mopkinster lives by animating, UV mapping and modding this model and bringing you a new race, the ARACHNIDS!

Not perfect but good enough for those that love the original STARSHIP TROOPERS! :D

Every bit as deadly as the monsters from Starship Troopers!

They can now be found across Kenshi, they are an extrememly aggresive race and will attack on sight! Domestication is impossible (or is it?)

BE the BUGMASTER! An ally of all things Spider and Arachnid our new Bug Master can not only Command his personal ARMY of 100 Arachnids, but is also Allied defacto with every spider on the map..the question is, what does a bug master do?

The bugs don't want you crops! They want to down you and EAT the BODIES!

They can BLOCK!

They have GREEN BLOOD!

They travel in Pods, Worker Pods and SWARMS..

Raid their NESTS for their eggz, a valuable commodity now..

I've been in a months-long campaign right now to rescue my trapped expedition in Mongrel. The city itself has been overrun and what's worse is that the Arachnids and the Mist Ghouls I added in hopes of thinning them out turned out to be ALLIED with each other.

Is there any way to change their specific factions so the Mist Ghouls and Arachnids fight each other and resolve this apocalyptic scenario. They're slowly making their way towards my main outpost...

I don't know how "lite" the lite version is, but this version is 100% impossible for the Holy Nation to hold. I've tried 4x squads and 4x squad size with 0.5x nests to give the holy nation an edge, removed any attackslot mods because HN have big weapons that are great for crowds, they lost every single time.

I did the opposite too and they actually died faster. Every setting you can think of gets the HN decimated.

I even added some mods to beef towns up like crazy with better gear, unique defenders with over 100 stats in STR DEX and Toughness, they still die. The amount of arachnids is absolutely ludicrous. I've never had my game lag more than when I stood in Stack for more than 2 minutes, check outside, there's more spiders than visible terrain, they overtake everything...

It's beautiful...

I loved this at first but sadly they don't handle buildings well and constantly get stuck. They attack EVERYTHING on sight too and are unmanageable. It really was fun decimating 5 towns with them before they all finally wound up stuck in random buildings along the way and starving to death. I had to uninstall this mod because the swarms were just too big and unmanageable.

As a heads up to anyone who is curious;

-The arachnid swarms are massive and will take over cities. Not "might" take over, they WILL take over.

-The squad sizes are dozens and dozens, and each nest will show roaming population of 150+ arachnids.

-They also scale with nest multiplier so if you slide that up, it gets even nuttier. The age of the arachnids are also skewed towards elder so they're very deadly, in addition to being very difficult for archers to hit.

-On top of everything, the eggs that sit inside the nests are economy breaking. Each egg is 4k caps and you can loot something like 20 to 25 eggs from a single source.

-Its fun to try but if you're starting a new save but the arachnids have a cataclysmic impact where they roam, so be aware of that if you're starting in an area where they don't roam, only for you to walk into holy nation areas and see that the zones are entirely untenable.

For some reason I couldn't play anymore due to a spider infestation, I found out that I subscribed to your mod, who in their right mind would want a mod that makes everything even harder than it already is? Only a psychopathic mind with hate in their heart would be able to appreciate a mod as difficult as this one. Someone who grew up without the love of a father and a mother, someone who never discovered what happiness is, someone who doesn't know the sounds, colors and music. Someone who has nothing left to lose and is willing to risk everything.
Joking aside, man this mod makes things much more complicated, it's definitely not for a beginner like me.

funny mod, but their hitbox is too small for their size. They are very difficult to kill with ranged weapons besides turrets.

When the bugs spawn, they spawn everywhere. The bugs took over Mongrel! I really like this mod, but it is OP. LOL..
