Boss Events

描述
This is a mod adding boss encounters to the game.

Bosses are very powerful units, which can be hunted down for a bounty by any player on the map - but beware, these monsters should only be approached with a dedicated army!

Current Features:
-----------------------

- 8 different bosses, coming in 3 different strengths each
- configurable occurrence rate and starting difficulty at the beginning of each game
- boss events can also be turned off as a dialogue choice at the start of the game

Compatibility:
--------------------

- the mod should not conflict with any other mod, as all the mod content is added to the game and no existing game content is modified
- the mod should be usable in multiplayer, but only the first human player can configure the boss starting settings
- bosses should not be enabled in campaign mode, since trying to create a boss based on a unit that is blocked on a map will likely lead to the game to crash

any chance of an update with more bosses/harder bosses? like a voidspawn boss, Psifish(cthulu)boss, water bosses, maybe a breeder boss that spawns armies?

Hm, right. But normally none of that should interfere with the starting message of my mod. Did you maybe start a campaign map? My mod should be disabled there.

Does that mod of Wolfie also show a message at the start of the game? If so I know what is wrong and could tell Wolfie what he has to change.

No, I checked that first I think one of Wolfies mods broke your scripting

I took a look and for me it's still working fine. Maybe the mod was disabled for you in the launcher, when the launcher updated?

@BBB: Probably not, and that is totally ok :steammocking:

@SinisterPhish: Originally I wanted to add a lot more bosses. It's just that it's a lot of work, because I have to copy around a lot of scripts and replace aliases.... (plus I'm super busy with my real life currently ;) ) Would also like to improve the position finding still. Maybe I'll find some time for it around christmas ;-)

It has stopped working for me. I don't get the message at start of a new map anymore.
