描述
Gorgeous George was a massive star during the 40's and 50's, playing the pompous heel that everyone in attendance hated with a passion.

George came to the ring wearing elaborate robes and used exaggerated effeminate behavior in the ring to get the crowd against him.

George was a confident self-promoter who had a major influence on generations of pro wrestlers, but his legacy extends beyond the pro wrestling world. Both Muhammad Ali and James Brown acknowledged that their public personas were influenced by George.

George was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2010.

I didn’t realize how much I was influenced by him, either. Never really thought about the flashy robes I wear any time I head out of the house until recently.
