Broken for 1.4 - Vanilla Furniture Expanded has removed the AC Unit. I need a real modder to recreate, or VE team to add it back! Sorry all. Works in 1.3 or 1.2 however!

Wow, this air conditioning unit from Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Core is cool! Wait, why are they destroying that wall to build it?! This adds an over-wall variant of the the Air Conditioning unit from Vanilla Furniture Expanded. Goes nicely with Replace-Stuff over-wall vent and cooler, or the eponymous In-Wall Cooler mod.

Mostly has the same stats as the normal non-overwall variant, so shouldnt be inbalanced or anything

You NEED to use Vanilla Furniture Expanded for this to work. It creates a variant of the Air Conditioner from that mod, after all...

A: Maybe? It should be the same as the one from VFE just not requiring the wall to be destroyed first, but if you have a good justification I'll consider

Big thanks to Malminas for editing the texture of the AC from Vanilla Expanded to make it match the ReplaceStuff style of over/in wall temperature items, and for spicing up the mod thumbnail.

@Chewy Yui it's now in the Temperature Expanded mod and your mod is sorely missed. I have no idea why they do half the coolers over wall, yet don't make the main one. WHY?!?

@UshioNoa The AC unit in Vanilla Furniture Expanded got removed. This mod does nothing without it and, therefore, doesn't need to be updated.

Hi,
Unfortunately with the AC-Unit gone from Vanilla Furniture Expanded, I can't update this to work in 1.4.

I have tried with the 1.3 files for the AC but it throws up errors. Unless a modder who can do 'proper' mods can help (i.e. code a new double-wide AC) the best I can do is make the standard Air Conditioner unit from vanilla, 2 wide (with the same stats as 1 wide so its pointless)

I'm unable to do the coding required to make the new object. I lack the knowledge

Vanilla Extended team need to re-add the AC back, or a modder needs to recreate it

The answer to my question was "No.", for anyone wondering. This mod is dependent upon the AC Unit that was in VFE-C, but, with that item removed, it's now broken. You'll see it in your Architect menu, but won't be able to place it. Errors abound.

I get that it doesn't NEED to be updated, but come on. It's like a favorite thing and a No-Brainer construction wise. AC wouldn't be a wall thing at all, it'd be a floor or ceiling thing. Cuz we can not reasonably address that sort of construction in RW, having a AC Unit that occupies the same space as a Wall, for strength, is just the logical thing. Why this isn't built into the game baffles me. We deserve a properly updated/forked Mod, I see lots of red related to it when boot up.

Seeing as Oskar's team just REMOVED the AC Unit from their mod, I have to ask. Does this mod actually provide an AC Unit? As in, with it removed from the dependency, can this mod now be used as a standalone?

Anyway this mod seem to work fine on 1.4, since it's only codes. It used to work fine on 1.3, so it should still work fine on 1.4

Peoples spamming for an update are often stupid. Seriously i'm looking at my mod-list and on my 200+ list that had not been updated, at least 30+ had either a warning on the top from the creator telling peoples that the new version was on another mod (With tons of comments posted after asking for an update), the creator confirming in the comments that it still worked for 1.4 (And tons of comments over it asking if it was working on 1.4) or just two pages of peoples asking for a 1.4 updates.
