Jonof Community Build Project 1

First released 11th of March, 2006

Started by James, it uses the same concept as Community Build Project 2 to 8 (several mappers make a map together, each making a different part), except that it uses a feature of the Jonof sourceport (the same sourceport used to make the Megaton version of the game) which was new at the time : having a higher wall limit when making a map and therefore being able to build bigger maps.

Contrary to CBP5,6,7 and to JFCBP2, this CBP doesn't have a consistent theme throughout. It does however have some really great parts that stand out such as William Gee's cave with waterfalls [screenshot #1], or Merljin's highly detailed tech base inspired by Doom 3 [screenshot #5].

It is also worth noting that the concert bar in the middle of my part (to which I filled in the scene and the aquarium) was made by Kevin Cools and was used without his consent due to a misunderstanding (I thought it was another mapper's part) [screenshot #6].
