[REC] Centauri class cruiser

Following the attempted siege on Terra by LKF it was clear that a new capital ship would be needed to repel LKF fleets from REC controlled space. Whilst the Polaris class was a good ship it quickly became clear that another large ship would be needed to supplement it. However a new design was needed, as the Calliope class was old and mainly being used for planetary defense, and the Kontos was a flawed design, hence why i t was the only one of it's class built. Quickly drawing up a design for a ship to take on large LKF capital ships with ease, the Centauri was developed.

Easily outclassing any other cruiser that was being used by any faction (at the time), the Centauris also have a few more tricks. The main one being, despite being large, its very, very quick for it's size. It can accelerate faster than any LKF or TFK cruiser and all previous REC ones as well. It also comes equipped with 4 Ares rotor turrets that can shred through fighters and capital ships alike with ease. The Centauri also has a very large interior for its size. It comes equipped with a support ship hangar, an advanced and reliable power system as well as a buried CIC. Six more of the class have been approved for construction following the success of the Centauri herself. The ship does have one notable drawback however, that being it's lack of a large fighter compliment.
