The Light Assault Tank (LAT) fires nine two-round bursts of incendiary rockets which propel at speeds of over 160 miles per hour. The rockets are particularly effective against personnel and flammable structures. Alongside its impressive firepower, the LAT is also well-armored, being able to withstand RPGs and hand grenades in most areas. The LAT has seats for two crew with a viewing port for the driver.

When aiming the LAT, it is encouraged to use the suit-zoom key with the sights engaged (NUMPAD 0) when dealing with long-range targets. The LAT is most accurate when the barrel is completely still; firing in quick succession or while the barrel/tank is in motion greatly diminishes accuracy.

WARNING: If within range, he LAT is extremely vulnerable to SMG grenades in most areas. Furthermore, the LAT can be destroyed by other LATs, the Fully Functional Tank, and the Ultimate Fighter Jet if hit in specific areas. Namely, if the rocket projectile detonates on the turret, it effectively guarantees that the LAT will be destroyed. Additionally, if the projectile detonates beneath the hull/lower glacis areas, the tank will also likely be set aflame and destroyed. It should be noted that the underside of the LAT is almost completely unprotected from explosives.
