Gas Station - Dudok

Mid 1950's the Esso fuelcompany tasked Dutch architect W.M. Dudok to design a fashionable building to be used as gas station for Esso in the Netherlands. Dudok did so and designed, albeit modest in size, one of the most iconic shapes of Dutch architecture of the 50's. The open design and characteristic V-shaped roof made it instantly recognizable and proved to be an icon of its time.

Over the years most "Dudoks" (or "Greenhouses" as they were named because of all the glass) dissapeared because it was tailored to the car density of its time. Furthermore, the buildings demanded far more maintenance then the more utilitarian design which became the standard as of the late 60's.

Finally, as of this moment (release of this mod) only two remain, which are now protected.


This mod contains the building as pure asset - it serves no other function then as decoration for your map. The asset itself can bear other assets, such as cars, people etc.

Although the original was exclusively used by Esso, for artistic, entertainment and practical reasons there are in total 5 variants included in this mod:

- Aral
- BP
- Esso
- Fina
- Shell

That way, this mod fits well with the Magirus-Deutz Pluto mods which Grimes & I have made.
