Cardinal joins Rivals of Aether! Cardinal has a basic rushdown playstyle and a gimmick that is slightly opposite to Zetterburn's.

Neutral Special: Inferno Uppercut
Leans back and charges firepower into his fist. Press the special again to release an uppercut! If fully charged, the move will activate Cardinal's gimmick, Blaze Mode!

Forward Special: Scorching Meteor
Smash fowards, flame first! Strike the opponent with a spiraling meteor knuckle that acts as a combo tool!

Down Special: Fireball
Throws a basic projectile. If you jump and use the move, it'll be angled downwards!

Up Special: Burning Tornado
Forms a fireball around himself and shoots upwards, great for kills off the top!

Blaze Mode is a gimmick that functions a little to the opposite side of Zetterburn's like mentioned before. By fully charging Nspecial, blaze mode activates and lets you be capable of using an enhanced special! You have a set time limit, though. If that time runs out and no special was used, blaze mode deactivates.

Enhanced specials:

Nspecial: Charge all of your power into your arm and unleash a devastating uppercut!

Fspecial: Grabs the opponent and blasts them away with massive killing potential!

Uspecial: Trade killpower for a much stronger boost upwards!

Dspecial: Focus all of your energy and unleash a much stronger fireball! This larger version is much slower, but does more damage and knockback as a result.

V4.5, the gimmick rework!!!!!

=Gimmick activation has been changed. Instead of activating by landing any strong (aka old method), Blaze mode is activated by Nspecial's charge.
-This also makes it so using any special will remove Nspecial's charge.
-Keep in mind Blaze Mode has a set time (1 min 30 sec) before it disappears on its own. If it does, you have to charge it again.

-Nspecial no longer flashes an orange outline when fully charged as Blaze Mode now signals the fact he has a full charge.

+Sfx and Vfx now play when Nspecial is fully charged.
-The hud also has new visual flair

=EMP Uspecial has been changed to focus more on recovery. Now, instead of a multi-hit w/ finisher (like the reg, except goes higher), it only has one small hit.

=EMP Dspecial has been changed to focus a little more on damage. On use, throws out a slower but larger fireball that has more startup and more strength.
-If EMP version is used, the cooldown will be 120 frames instead of 60.
-AERIAL EMP version keeps the same motion the old one did, but now goes slightly higher.

-EMP Nspecial (which is now the normal nspecial) has less vertical reach, but more than what the original no-emp nspecial had. (tl;dr -8 vsp and -12 vsp has combined into -10 vsp)

-Pratland time increased (9 -> 13)

-Fair spike hitbox kb scaling decreased (.75 -> .65)

=Bair angle changed (137 -> 135)

=Ustrong finisher angle changed (84 -> 90)

=Bug fixed with Fspecial where you could ledge cancel on startup
