>Boot up in singleplayer mode. If it works - servers that you play on enforce sv_pure or their own mods
>Check other mods you have. Some may posess their own weapon switching sounds. Even if there is no conflct in addon menu it could be the case, because top-tier mods use scripted sound patterns.
>Check youc Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons folder. If there is anything besides workshop dir and readme.txt - check it. It may mess with addons.
>If nothing above helped just try unsubscribing and subscribing while ingame to reinstall it. I know it sounds stupid but i don't know what else may help.
