描述

This is a single working coal loader for steam trains. It uses coal to run your steam trains! It stores 350 tons of coal for use by your trains. I may add a version with a conveyor as well, but I haven't decided yet. I am not too happy with the texture of the coal loader, so I may try to adjust it. I would love some help with texturing it!

Both of the structures are based off real buildings found in Poland. The coal loader was designed by an American company, and built in many cities in Poland and other countries. Please see my historic water tower mod for details about the water tower.

IMPORTANT:
This uses an exploit, a bug left in the game. You do NOT have to manually install anything, but each time you build one, you do have to either deliver a tiny bit of fuel, or buy 0.2 tons of fuel. The fuel will not be visible, but will appear under "purchase resources." No vehicle will load this as fuel, but it will tell vehicles that fuel is available, otherwise they will not come.

This means diesel trans can also use coal, so you should be careful and design the lines so that trains don't fuel with the wrong resource. There is no way for me to get around this issue given the limited options we have as modders.

You can also load coal into trucks or trains at this station. A vehicle can take the fuel if you have it set to load fuel as a cargo item, so don't do that!

EXTRA INFO:
I doubt the devs will fix this just to break the mod, but I do hope they will add official support, especially since they are adding renewable energy, and they just need to make a few adjustments so this is officially a coal loader. It would also make sense to make coal trains take about 5 times the amount of coal for balancing (efficiency and specific energy). I will upload a version that balances the resources and does not use the exploit later this week.

I would appreciate it if you asked the devs to consider adding this to the base game, or at least the code, so we can add more steam trains and loaders without using exploits.

Finally devs destroyed fuel exploits, but official coal loader and steam locos came to our republic!!

In general, most of this stuff is fair use, anyway. I might be able to convince the mods to remove something, but it would be hard to do something that could result in a legitimate lawsuit/legal issues.

I put CC BY or CC BY NC at the bottom of every item of the workshop. You can google CC BY and learn more about different creative common licenses and how copyright works. I put CC BY here so it is easier for people to know what rights they have with my mods. CC BY means you can do almost anything with it as long as you atribute it to me, the original creator. Even the devs could put it in the base game if they wanted with CC BY copyright. They would only have to contact me for permission/licensing if it was CC BY NC.

It is CC BY so you can ask other modders to reupload it wih water requirements. I have no idea when Iĺl eb able to work on these things again

It is CC BY, so nothing is stopping anyone from doing that. I need at least another month before I'll be able to do anything myself.
