Lego Table

描述
A nice Lego Table to play your games on!

To use: Load the table first, then load your game using "Additive Load" (Click the 3 dots on the game's icon and the additive option will be there)

For those wondering what the process was:

* Modelled the table in Bricklink Studio 2.0

* Exported the file in Ldraw Format

* Imported the Ldraw file into Mecabricks, which is like an online browser version of Studio, but the OBJ exporter is easily the best I've seen for converting digitla lego into 3D suite readable data. What makes Mecabricks great is the exported bricks are all single objects rather than each face of the bricks being a separate face like when Studio exports to Collada. Mecabricks also has the option to export without the lego logo on the studs, which save tens of thousands of triangles.

* Take that .OBJ and open it in 3DS Max. Use this to do the UV's, combine everything into one object, optimize models, and create collider. Export this as .fbx

* Take the FBX into Substance Painter to give it a proper paintjob. I colored the bricks according to this chart: http://ryanhowerter.net/colors.php which attempts to map lego colors to pantone values

* Export the textures from substance and take the textures and model into the Tabletop Sim modding Unity Project and create the prefab and asset bundle the same as you would with anything else

Suggestion to add this script to the table, This way it'll function better as a table.

function onLoad()
self.interactable = false;
end

Lovely table, although I've noticed (especially when made larger) that sometimes there's issues with objects falling straight through the table?
Notably, checker pieces (which admittedly behave... Interestingly, anyways) and attempting to unstack exactly 2 cards.

From what I can tell, making the collision on the top surface thicker should fix the issue. I'm not quite sure how to do that myself, but it seems like a simple enough fix if you're up for it.

That's actually a pretty incredible asset flow to get to a finished product. Definitely going to have to steal that for my projects. I haven't done any modeling whatsoever but I'm sure a few YouTube videos will fix that with this method.

@Deadrat: It'd be possible to a degree, but I'm not sure how well the pieces world interact if done as individual models.

Looks great! Was slightly disappointed though, that it didn't explode into multiple lego bricks when flipped. :P

I think it should be possible to add the lego logo as a bump map, but I'm new to TTS, so not 100% sure.
