Egg Cryopreservation

描述
一个安全的鸡蛋仓库,只要它有足够的能量,它就会冻结鸡蛋,阻止它们孵化。

Compatible with both Main and DLC

This mod adds a new building: Egg Cryopreservation

This building functions like a safe storage for eggs, and as long as it's fed power, it will freeze eggs, stopping them from hatch.
Should the building lose power, then it'll still function as a safe storage, but the eggs will continue to hatch.

The building can house a custom range of eggs, but the maximum being 50 eggs.
The types of eggs can easily be chosen from a menu, exactly like the Storage Locker.

The building takes 50 W of power and has two logic outputs:
- Is the machine operational?
- Is the storage full?


This mod is Vanilla-friendly and can safely be used on existing save-files.

The visual is still a work-in-progress, so let me know how I can improve it, in fact, if you have any suggestions for the mod, whether it be changes or additions, then please let me know :)

It is worth to notice that the eggs inside the building's storage will still say incubating, but the rate is at 0, so it will never hatch.
This is due to the limitation that eggs do not normally have a state between nonviable and incubating.

Ok I finally got it working. Just uninstalling the mod didn't work. I had to nuke the entire mod folder and let the game redownload and install everything from the workshop

I still can't get this mod working despite the update. I've uninstalled it, removed all the files, etc, and it keeps giving me the same issues as before the nov 23rd update to the mod

Only 50 eggs? in late game i can count almost a thousand of em.. i would need to build so many of these... why only 50!!!???? thats ridiculous.

Is there a reason it can store sand? I don't see it mentioned being used in the description any where. not important just curious if it slows warming down or can be used instead of power or something.

@modo_lv It's tricky, it's probably possible to mod, but I can see that it's a general problem throughout the game. If you take the Egg Cracker and queue it for a single Shine Bug egg, they will deliver multiple, and once the task of cracking one egg is done, the other eggs delivered are dropped on the ground from the internal storage.

@modo_lv The storage is measured based on the amount of eggs, no matter what they weight, but it seems that the 'storing' job is having trouble, maybe because it's still considering weight.

From what I can tell, in practice the "egg" limit is just the standard weight limit (in kgs). It explains why 43/50 couldn' t accept a Lumb egg (7 kg of free space vs 8 kg egg), and also why you can't increase the cryochamber capacity beyond 20000 (standard storage bin maximum).

Sometimes the cryochamber stops accepting eggs despite not being full. Seems to be an issue with weight, as the eggs most frequently "rejected" (not being moved despite marked for sweeping) in my game are Lumb eggs (8kg).

I had a 43/50 cryochamber and two Lumb eggs marked for sweeping right in front of it, and the errands tab showed "no pending deliveries". Increasing the capacity of the cryochamber from 50 to 100 helped instantly.
