M71 Scythe CIWS

The M71 Scythe is a stationary rotary cannon emplacement used by the UNSC Armed Forces for anti-aircraft purposes. The Scythe fires the powerful 20x102mm High-Explosive Incendiary Armor-Piercing cartridge from a 100,000 round drum, although some Scythe turrets have 1,000 round drums and maintain a low rate of fire. The gun is complemented by an M41 Rocket Launcher and can strip armor off of Covenant aircraft with ease. The turrets were most notably seen placed around ONI’s CASTLE and SWORD bases, with a large group being deployed outside the Sabre Launch and Research Facilities.

Halo CIWS. It’s armed with an AP autocannon and a bunch of HE guns. The turret can be destroyed or dismounted with relative ease and the turret's firing mechanism is inside one of the crates.
