@Kolkwitzia - you may need to adjust your settings. Make sure Vsync is on.

yes I tried that too, all four paths are too long and the cube disappears before I can make it to any door

@Kolkwitzia - you first need to use the green cube to reach one of the automatic doors.

I don't know what you mean by portal room. I'm talking about when the level first starts there's one green cube and a blue cube tucked away inside the pillar that is out of reach. I'm only able to grab the blue cube after trying again and again to snatch it as I'm falling. Then once I've fallen there's no way to get back up because when I place the green cube in the recessed area there is no way to hop on top of it. There are no spots to "use the green cube as an elevator" on the floor of the first area. The only spot is horizontal and I can't even use that one. A video would be helpful but no one's made one as far as I can tell.

@Kolkwitzia - Assuming you're referring to the portal room, you simply retrieve both the green and blue cubes then use the green cube as an elevator to return to the starting area. From there you can open the first keyed door.

I've tried everything I can think of, but I can't progress in the very first area :( am I missing something obvious?
