[SP/COOP 4]Operation Tempest Wind

This was my first mission, published in 2014. After long time, I have decided to re-work and update it because some of the original mods that I used, are no longer available. I have tried to do not use many dependencies in the mission; so you do not need to download many mods to play it.

The mission has been tested with LAMB_DANGER AI mod, and it works fine; so feel free to use it under your convenience.

That series of missions, where this one is the first, I started to create them on mid 2014. I decided to roleplay russian side because in that moment the workshop was full of BLUFOR missions (mostly with USA/NATO roles). After saying that, I do not subscribe to any ideological or political views; I develop missions roleplaying any faction just for fun; always under the way to work in a nice story. The relationship between NATO and the Russian Federation have been deteriorating significantly since the crisis in Ukraine in 2014. The turning point took place on February 2022, with the invasion of Ukraine by the russian forces. That conflict has been the excuse for NATO to open new military bases close to russian territory and to concentrate forces and military equipment. Sweeden and Finland has recently joined the organization, threatening the northern flank.

It is February, 2025. The war in Ukraine is close to finish after the unsuccessful attempt, from ukrainian authorities, to involve NATO in the great scale operations. In any case, a confrontation with NATO looks inevitable, so we need to be ready to hit the first strike.

The operations take place in Thirsk Islands, a small archipelago in the northern Finland, pretty close of the border of Russia. In that place, NATO has placed many equipment and military personnel. We do not want to start an open war, at least not yet, so your mission is to infiltrate in the archipelago and sabotage the enemy communications to prepare a future invasion; if the diplomacy fails.

Advices/Notes:
1-Mission is supposed to be completed using commando tactics of 'infiltration and sabotage', but feel free to adapt to your game style.

2-Take into account that supplies are not unlimited. Some members of the team hold more ammo because they use bags. You can share with your team.

3-No medics, just first aid kits. Do recon and plan your movements.

4-If you are overwhelmed by enemies. Feel free to retreat, you are a commando team not a storm group.

5-Compatible with ACE3.
