The Linebacker

The Linebacker is my Reforged Eden Industrial miner. After adapting this design my mining per hour increased about 2.5x over the SV miner I was using. The combination of a very wide Laser Radius, and a much larger Harvest capacity means more Ore per second, and less trips to offload cargo, any advantage an SV has in speed is more than made up for with the combination of faster Digging & more hauling capacity.

The craft should be operated with Right Mouse button bound to "Auto rotate" in your settings. This makes the craft ( and all hvs frankly ) much more enjoyable, as re-orienting or uprighting them is instant and ergonomic.

The craft keeps all of it's mass within the radius of the lasers, which line the outside of the craft, meaning its an avid tunneler and it DOES NOT GET STUCK, EVER. If ever you feel you cant turn the way you want, simply hold RMB to Re-orient, and LMB as well, as you mouse toward the direction you want to point, you will cut yourself free.

Also excellent for tunneling long distances under POIs to get at guarded deposits, Ive taken thing over 2 km underground to grab 4 gold deposits and I was done in about 15 minutes, it tunnels at nearly 5m per second.
