Polish Road Signs (Pack 1)

This pack comes with 317 props and 7 PO fonts.

Textures are shared between some of the items in this pack. Most signs share a texture with at least 3 other signs.

The largest texture is shared by 40 mb worth of signs (the large highway signs), so the actual impact on memory and loading time should be significantly smaller.

None of these props has a custom LOD.

The majority of these signs can be used without PO, bus a number of them require PO to have any use (e.g. speed limit, highway signs, etc.)

The included props can be divided into the following categories and individual props:
→ Sign pole
→ Large sign pole
→ All of set A
→ All of set B
→ All of set C
→ Most of set D
→ Most of set T
→ F-7, F-11a/b/c
→ Small blank plates to serve the roles of the missing signs from set T
→ Large signs of various colours and sizes to serve the roles of some of the missing signs from sets D, E and F

All props can be found by searching for "prs" in Find It. If there are extra unwanted search results, also include my username in your search.

Not included are sets G, P, and U. These will be included in a future pack.

There are 7 fonts included:
→ PRS Arrows: various arrows for creating highway signs (colour can be changed) [A-Z, a-f]
→ PRS Rounded Rectangle: start, midsection, end, smaller midsections for making rounded rectangles to put under text (colour can be changed) [A-F]
→ PRS Text Containers: start, midsection, end for making pre-coloured and bordered rounded rectangles used for polish highway route numbers. Also includes a white oval to indicate the country of a particular location. [A-V]
→ PRS Set A: set A signs as font symbols [A-Z, a-q]
→ PRS Set B: set B signs as font symbols [A-Z, a-u]
→ PRS Sets C+D: set C signs as font symbols and some set D signs or symbols from set D signs as font symbols [A-Z, a-z, 1-9, 0]
→ PRS Symbols: other assorted symbols that are useful for making road signs [A-W]

All fonts use at most the characters A-Z, a-z, 1-9, 0, in that order. The full range of characters each font uses has been included above in square brackets.

You can also click on the font name in game to bring up a table of all characters in the font.


This would not have been possible without help from Arnold J. Rimmer, who sent me his italian road sign pack. It was instrumental in working out how to effectively lay out my texture files, as well as providing a good baseline for shadows and dirt.

I'd also like to acknowledge the wikipedia editors who created the SVG files for Polish road signs. This drastically reduced the workload, as most signs were able to be taken directly off wikipedia and turned directly into signs. Some had to be remade or made from scratch, but the amount of time and work saved from the existing signs cannot be understated.
