BM - Station Pathway #01



Prolog

Hello community !

These are pedestrian pathways, which I used for all the underground metro
stations, as well as entrance buildings.

In order to use those stations and entrance buidlings, all of these paths are needed !!!
Otherwise the station/entrance building wont load !

I am sorry for the five separate uploads, but sadly it wasnt possible to do that in one´.
I´ve tested that extensivly and wasted a lot (!) of time, just to find out
that it wasnt possible. The "game" always "mixed" all the pathways... everytime
I picked certain a version,, but got the wrong one...
Hence these 5 different uploads. Well .. it is what it is. :P

About the Pathsway(s)

  • only tunnel version !
  • some also with "slopes" but without slope models
  • one "new" texture set
  • one already used texture set (with my 3 ped pathways)

These pathways are currently used in these assets/buidlings:

Dependencies

  • Metro tracks station lights (they´ll work without them, but it´ll be dark)
  • the wide version also uses two props from the metro tracks prop pack

Every pathway will work without these props as well as without any asset/building.
But this doesnt count vise versa. Any building created with these pathways wont
load, if any of the used networks are missing.

Issues / Walkarrounds

So far none.

Every single pahtway use the same set of textures as well as lod materials.
With the help of LSM, these materials will be shared and you´ll save a lot
of RAM space.

Total amount of needed space for all these pathways (with LSM) about 3.7 MB !

If you´re already using my pedestrian pathways, then you additonal needed
RAM space will be at about 1.5 MB.

Forgotten thoughts

I´ll add them when they are back ... ;)

Do you have any tips on how to be that precise? I've tried to match elevation but it often doesn't connect correctly. I love the idea of these items.

Well, with certain networks, you have to be "precise" in creating connections. Sadly, there isnt something I could change about that ... this is how this game was/is designed. ;)

I'm having trouble with these pathways connection properly to the metro tunnels. They don't snap to the tunnels.

Hi and thanks ! :) Additional to a FPS- mod you can use ACME, which has an option that allows for the camera to go below surface level.

All of your metro related assets are great, thank you for the work. One question though; how do I walk through underground assets? With First Person Camera (updated) mod? I have other wonderful clus designed ped paths and I use this mod to "walk" underground , with some limitations (like seeing the ground when a pedestrian walking underground). So, can you guide me on this pls.?
