Phoenician House

This 'Phoenician House' can be used as a building shell for at least 2 shops. Its design is based on a 19th-century French chromolithograph of a Phoenician residence.

'Phoenician' is a name used to describe people belonging to a confederation of maritime traders that occupied the coast of the eastern Mediterranean between 1500- 300 BCE. The Phoenicians founded trading posts all around the Mediterranean and they developed an alphabetic writing system that laid the foundation for Western alphabets. Phoenicians combined many different cultural styles in their art, but sadly very little of their architecture remains.
