El Gigante

Former professional basketball player Jorge González signed with WCW in 1989 and debuted the following year as El Gigante.

Gigante feuded with Ric Flair over the WCW World Heavyweight Title for a short time before battling several other massive wrestlers to determine who the real giant of WCW was.

González left WCW in 1992 and signed with the WWF shortly after. He wrestled as Giant González in the WWF for a year before wrestling briefly in Japan for NJPW and WAR as El Gigante.
