Brand Contracts

描述
Adds ten special Artifacts to the game - the Brand Contracts.

Brand Contracts are special Artifacts meant to mimic the Double Soul mechanic of the MMBN games. They are acquired the same as any other artifact, but work a bit different:

- Brand Contracts can only be found when you execute a boss.

- When you take a Brand Contract, it removes any other Brand Contracts you have - so you can only have one at a time.

- The artifact adds a Contract Spell to your deck at the start of battle. Using this spell activates the contract.

- The contract is a special effect that lasts for 3 shuffles. Your weapon is changed for the duration and spells belonging to the same Brand as the contract gain a bonus.

There may also be a certain contract that isn't beholden to a particular brand...

FAQ:

Q: Do I need MoreLuaPower to use this mod?
A: Yes.

Q: Why does my deck shuffle at the start of combat?
A: A work-around for a limitation of the code. Spells that add spells to your deck add them to the back, and the shuffle is necessary to ensure the contract spell doesn't always appear at the back. This is annoying, but shouldn't affect shuffle artifacts or Flash Loader.

Q: Why does the suspicious-looking one stop my mana regen?
A: Just shoot the weapon. I promise everything will be fine >:D

Currently it makes the game stuck after you defeat the first boss. Its an old mod tho, so I don't doubt it's probably abandoned.

Haha that one's a reference to the dark mode from the MMBN games. It was meant to be vague but I supposed I could give it an actual description. It can only appear if you're below half health after fighting a boss. It stops your mana regen but gives you mana when you fire the weapon, which deals high damage (for a weapon), but also randomly teleports you. It also increases the power of all your spells.

However, the weapon damages you and casting spells reduces your MaxHP, so it's powerful, but a double-edged sword.

There is one issue that I forgot to state in the previous comment; The Dark Contract. It's not very descriptive, and it says it just kills. But when I use it, it only does 60 damage. It ALSO stops my mana from regenerating unless I use it (in which case I get one whole mana back). Am I just misunderstanding something from this one? Or is it suppose to be vague?

This is a pretty interesting mod! Having your weapon change to whatever contract you've taken is a pretty neat idea, and you can be very creative with how you use them too. For example, the Glimmer contract changes your weapon into a bomb that deals 40 damage if it's attacked within a certain amount of time. However, it's also considered an object. So you could trap your enemies in a ring of bombs, and use your ranged attacks to hit them while they are (almost) immobilized. I just wish there was a way to get these without killing a boss. Otherwise, great mod so far! Especially since it's in beta.
