ZIS-5 Family Pack 2/2

The ZIS-5 family were one of the highest production vehicle designs of soviet times in the earlier periods, with about 1 million units. The ZIS-5 family of versions were mainly produced from 1933-1941, 1942-1947 and 1944-1955. There were many variations produced - 2 axle and a 3 axle (ZIS-6), short and long wheel base with many ZIS designations (ZIS -5 thru -44). The ZIS-44 was an ambulance version based on the ZIS-5V from 1942.

The main truck version selected here is the ZIS-5V produced from 1942 and as the UralZIS-5 until 1955. This also fits a little better with this borrowed vanilla Praga V3S 3 axle model (see special notes at end). The payload for most ZIS-5 were 2.5 (ZIS-5) to 3t (ZIS-5V), reaching a max speed of about 55kmh depending on engine and conditions, and the engine selected here was 57kW. The usual comment found on research is the published specifications were better than actual performance, hence the speed allowed.

*Additional Notes
No evidence of soviet mobile mixers of this period have been found (they may exist, just not found). However game mechanics require a concrete function, so one has been included. Alternatively you may consider this a simulated manual delivery of cement/sand, with a small local mixing machine. US/UK mobile mixers from this period appear to be typically 5 cu. yards capacity (~1.3t), so this may be a little generous but is in keeping with a balanced game and the ZIS-5 vehicle capacity allowing for payload and mixing machinery.

I have found an image for a road crane on the ZIS-5 chassis (inlcuded in the photos above of a ZIS-5 AK3 from 1946. I do not have the specifications so have included a vehicle with limited efficiency (construction skill level) has been included, hopefully game balanced.

A long wheel base special purpose trailer version is included, payload sufficient for DT-54A and Stalinets S-65. (Speed has been restricted to 30kmh.)

Blueprint Family. All the models have been placed together for blueprint purposes in the ZIS-5V family as that was the nature of the design series.

I made this pack at the request of a number of people and to meet the growing demand from early start enthusiasts (this includes me) who lack the models and functions necessary to play this great game properly. I know that in due course some amazing and authentic models will be created by the enthusiastic modders in WRSR. Then the need for this pack will happily diminish and we can all enjoy the visual delights they will create. In the meantime - here you go! xD

We have used the Praga v3S vanilla models from 3Divison and also the mods from ryantheskinny who made an awesome extension Praga V3S pack which I would encourage you to check out (starts in 1953 with obviously better specifications). I am extremely grateful for his great help and generosity in allowing us to use his great models and game design talent in this ZIS-5 family. :)
