Dustin Rhodes

Dustin Rhodes, the son of the legendary son of a plumber, Dusty Rhodes, started his wrestling career in the late 80's for Championship Wrestling from Florida. He bounced between a few large companies for most of the next decade.

In 1991, Dustin began his second stint with WCW and was billed as "The Natural". He formed a tag team with Barry Windham, then won the WCW World Tag Team titles with Ricky Steamboat, who was replacing an injured Windham. After dropping the belts, Dustin won the titles again, this time with his original partner, and unified the titles with the NWA World Tag Team belts.

As a singles competitor, Dustin won multiple WCW United States Heavyweight titles, capturing the belt first against Steamboat in 1993.

In March 1995, Dustin took on The Blaktop Bully (Barry Darsow) in a King of the Road match. WCW had a strict policy against blading during matches, and after both competitors did so anyway, both men were fired. Dustin signed with the WWF shortly after and debuted there as Goldust in August.
