描述

A sandbox map that took forever to complete.
There is a shortage of coast sandbox maps. I AIMED TO FIX THAT

Map contains:

Several build areas

A few coast-style houses with props and breakable windows

A WORKING CRANE! (make sure to get the crash stopper addon!)

Respawnable Crates and physboxes (as shown in pictures with the red buttons)

Actually feels like the coast in Half-Life 2

AI nodes for soldiers and other ground npcs

Strider nodes (info_node_air_hint)

ah, well, vj only uses nodegraphs as long as I know, I spawned them in open areas.

You might be spawning the NPCs in areas that don't have AI nodes. I have only noded the areas around the buildings and the house, also, this map doesn't have a nextbot mesh, which is what is need for nextbots to work, and some VJ npcs DO require a navmesh.

well. I just tried the npcs, and the node graph seems not working properly, I usually test nodes with deadly xenomorphs from vj base, cause they will follow you everywere once they see you. but this wasnt moving at all. also tried L4D 1 npcs and neither seemed to recognice any nodegraph.

the map sure looks very well in relation with the big size. some maps have a lot of unnecesaty poligons in rocks and stuff that goes almost unoticed when afar. and spend a lot of resources. but in this case is just few poligons and detailed textures as it should be. maybe it would look simplistic but in the balance of space plus a nice basic scene, is quite alright. other maps has just an isle or water and they reduce fps a lot.
