PORT TAMBOR
A new port and desert region to explore!

Welcome to Port Tambor, a sandy port known for its dojo, arena, cacti exports, and delicious mezcal. Engage in trade at the local trading post, where you can purchase a new trade good: cactus flesh. Train in the dojo of the Heartstring Arc and improve your bow skills. Face off against opponents you choose in the Metal Arena, with three different tiers of difficulty, and many combinations of enemies to face. Cool off in the café with a jug of mezcal (to share, of course). Don’t forget to browse the unique wares of the merchants in town! Port Tambor comes with some new accessories to find or buy.

Next, explore the desert to the east. What secrets lie beneath the sands, waiting to be unearthed? You won’t get far without a grappling lasso to help you navigate whatever pits or chasms you might come across. Perhaps someone in town can help you acquire one. And perhaps in your exploration you will come across some way to open the mysterious locked seals scattered throughout the desert and port.

Rumor has it that the streets on the south side of town are a little wild. So keep your wits about you if you stray too far from the market! The Deadeye Bandits (the locals have a different name for them) avoid the port proper, but won’t hesitate to attack you if you step into their territory.

Port Tambor’s challenges are geared towards early to mid game parties. The desert exploration zones and dungeons are tuned for newer groups. The dojo is on par with some of the other easier dojo fights in the base game. The street fights will be a challenge for unprepared teams, but can be made much easier with proper gear. The arena features three levels of difficulty: iron, steel, and mythril. The enemies you face in the arena will be kitted out in iron, steel, or mythril respectively, and will have stats and abilities matching their tier. In this way, the arena can provide challenges for early game, mid game, and end game teams, though you can only battle in the arena once per week.

Location: (Port Tambor is found along the coast south of Fantlin. It is northeast of Ash Port.)
