Time Crate Trials (Death Wish Pack)

A kind of reimagined concept of speedrun Death Wishes (like Speedrun Well), bringing in the concept of... Time Crates!

Whenever you break one, the timer (but not the time clocks like those in Train Rush) pause for a certain amount of time (depicted on the crate, in seconds), and this can stack!

Includes 6 Death Wishes that utilize different levels with this concept, with one that you must complete before accessing the others:
- Finale (requires beating Mustache Gauntlet)
- Windmill
- Train Rush (requires beating 10 Seconds Until Self-Destruct)
- Rush Hour (requires 55 stamps)
- Big Parade (requires beating The Great Big Hootenanny)
- Sewers Blue Rift

Death Wishes require Seal the Deal DLC to play them (Rush Hour one also requires Nyakuza Metro DLC), although you can use Time Crates outside of them.

Hugely inspired by Crash Bandicoot series, where I got the crate mechanic from. And frankly, the time trials in that game are far more interesting than vanilla speedrun Death Wishes.

Yeah, it isn't much of a problem with the level itself with the cutscene. I'd say something about Empress taking so long to fire, but that too is an issue with the base level instead of the mod. All that aside though, this thoroughly impressed me. You've got something good on your hands.

Honestly, I would try to blame Rush Hour itself for including such cutscene spam in the first place. We tried to mitigate it a bit but I suppose that doesn't help much.

All of these are honestly great... except Rush Hour. Solely because the final cutscene takes a full 15 seconds to mash through, and the timer doesn't stop during the last cutscene. In other words, I have yet to complete Crate Hour because of a cutscene. I dunno if this is just a "git gud" moment, but it's also my only real criticism of this mod. Aside from that, all the missions are solidly constructed, time crates are fun to smash, and it's especially fun to reach the lowest possible time on some of these. A fantastic mod, with one glaring exception.
