Prettier Lakes
Prettier Lakes enhances the flat, boring water texture of Lakes, Oases, and a few Natural Wonders to be prettier!

What's Changed?
The following water textures are updated:
  • Lakes
  • Oases
  • Dead Sea
  • Lake Retba
  • Crater Lake
  • Lake Victoria (Terra Mirablis)
  • Tonle Sap (Sukritact's Natural Wonders)

Comparison to Vibrant Waters
Previously, I made another water retexture mod called Vibrant Waters.

Prettier Lakes is a more delicate approach designed to enhance the existing look of the water. It maintains the darkness of Lakes, while the older mod Vibrant Waters makes everything much lighter. If Vibrant Waters was too light for you, Prettier Lakes should make you happy!

Compatibility
Fully compatible with the base game and all DLC.

Fully compatible with Terra Mirabilis and Sukritact's Natural Wonders.

Fully compatible with Tsunami Waves and Tsunami Waves: Lite Version.

NOT compatible with Vibrant Waters - this is intended to be a replacement of Vibrant Waters!

Hello, I've also run into the issue where enabling this mod disables all mods in a saved game, including this one. The issue occurs even when this is the only mod enabled. It works fine on starting a new game, but upon reloading a save, all mods cease to function.

@p0kiehl I really really love this mod but it's not compatible with Civ 5 Environmental skin. I have tested it many times and the Civ 5 skin overwrite your beautiful dark blue water mod with their washed out color.

Could you please make a compatible patch or another mod that is compatible with Civ 5 Skin please? thank you so much from a fan!

Hi p0kiehl, I've run into the issue where no mods load at all.

I tried disabling all other mods, but your mod still didn't load.
Here's the save game. [drive.google.com]

It uses base rules, but other games using base rules have worked fine, and I have both R&F and GS.

I hope you can find the problem. Thanks.
