This small corvette is aimed at sitting in the godly class for my custom campaign. With a roughly 40 mps top speed and an average speed of around 38 mps in combat, this corvette is fast. It relys on two injector engines to power up it's medium propellers, small Lams and shielding systems, although it can still fight without any of these things. The ships is armed with 6 medium torpedoes, 8 large thumper missiles and a small but strong 120mm railgun. The bulk of the damage comes from the remote guided thumper missiles. The ships also has a substantial amount of anti-missile and torpedo systems for it's size along with strong laser defenses. The main built in weakness is the mediocre armor, single engine compartment and a vulnerability to crams and small jets.

The reason this ship is likely going to be placed in godly is it's high damage output and due to the fact that in testing, it defeated some ships that it had no right defeating for its cost. I don't usually feel very good setting a high difficulty for my crafts, so please let me know if this thing fits in the category in terms with the other ships, or provide any critique or comments on the design.

As always, feel free to let me know if you have any questions, or have a ship that you think matches with the general performance level/level of details of the campaign that you'd like added in.

Hey that's good enough for me! Whatever it's armament configuration is I'm sure it makes sense from a practical standpoint. I don't entirely understand the design philosophy behind modern warships anyway. The Ticonderoga Class cruiser or the independence class frigate come to mind.

Besides, not like I couldn't just slap some heavy armor on the hull and BAM it's a battleship.

Gun wise it may be a bit of a dissapointment :( Although it's front turret is bigger then nearly any other gun on my ships so far

ooo boy looking forward to that, 'specially after your other battlecruiser. Hope this one has giant deck guns.

It's a battlecrruiser, 230 meters long about. It won't be the biggest ship, but still expect a long time until it's ready

That's cool man, they're your creations after all. And while refitting them to be viable in a regular campaign is relatively simple, I think a few pointers on how to iron out the intentional flaws would help people who want to use them for themselves.

As for your next ship, PLEASE tell me it's a battleship!

I'll admit that some ships are definitely much harder to make viable as they were meant to sit in low difficulties, and the sloped decking is a major weakness in a lot of ships. I may go back at a later date and make some more optimized ships. The next ship may sit in godly (depending on the ammo layouts and missile layouts, but most ships will never be fully optimized while I still consider aesthetics to be a priority.

@Pepsii I'd appreciate it too, as matt's stuff looks awesome, but it's easy enough to retune his craft to be viable as player vehicles. Just armor up some of the vital components a little better and maybe swap out some of the deck guns for heavier ones.

It would be cool if you made a few ships like these without built in weaknesses, the ships look great so having a few designs that arent limited would be really great

Likely, you'd maybe need to remove some from the back as well or readjust them

Alright neat, yeah it's abnormally fast, must be the hydrofoils in the front. Would removing those return it more to a more normal speed and maybe raise the front above water level when idle?
