Ordered as a result of the creation of the streamlined, efficient Alto Mk.V the Longbow class of carrier allows 5 altos to be carried anywhere in the system.

The appearance of the Longbow was unsurprising to the REC and TFK. Both expecting some form of carrier for Alto fighter craft for a while. Still, the Longbow is not a pleasant sight, as Alto's are very hard to kill.

Most of the Longbow's comissioned have been fully supplied with Alto Mk V brand new fighters and diverted to the LKF armada bound for Terra.

Description

Mean to serve in a fleet and be escorted at all times, the Longbow was equipped with only basic point defense. Alone, it won't fair well or last long. Fighter deployment is essential, and escort ships.

The Longbow line is also capable of atmospheric flight in gravity wells up to 1G.
