This monster is currently nearly 25K blocks big.

A place that is a story.
Now, that story is far from done, since the current version of the Caravanserai is just the superstructure and the functional stuff.

It has no interior to speak of (for now)

Backstory:

Once, a long time ago, there was a place where ships often would come. Maybe a system rich in minerals. Maybe a neutral system close to several warring factions. Nobody knows, or remembers.
But in that place, someone built the Caravanserai.
To be a place where money, information and goods could change hands. Where you could meet up with someone without the authorities knowing about it.

A place that did not need weapons to defend itself, because it made no enemies.

In it's glory days the place was bustling. People from near and far came to the Caravanserai for a thousand different reasons. Fortunes were made, and lost.

But then, for some reason, and probably over time, that changed.
And slowly, the Caravanserai stagnated, became more and more irrelevant, less visited.
Until only a small group of residents remained, living meagre lives as the lights of the great hall all but dissapeared and the oxygen became ever more stale.
