Agent Class For LWOTC

描述
Happy Decemberween, subscribers of my mods! It being Decemberween and all, I couldn't NOT give people some kind of present. I know there's more than one person who's been looking forward to this for a while, so I present to you all the Agent class for Long War of the Chosen, inspired by the class of the same name from A Better Barracks! Check out the main class tree here.[docs.google.com]. As the Agent is set up for LWOTC, they have a 4-tier XCOM row as well as the pistol row in addition to their three main ability rows. They can equip a Shotgun, Sniper Rifle, or SMG as their primary weapon, and have a Combat Knife as their secondary.

The Agent starts with the Run And Slice, Trained Sniper and Knife Fighter abilities at Squaddie rank, and has 3 specializations in their main ability tree.
  • Heist is the king of quick "hack an objective" missions, including abilities that more easily let the Agent reach the objective via speed and avoiding enemy attacks, as well as those that allow the Agent to hack more efficiently and obtain hack rewards more often.

  • Cloak focuses on keeping the Agent out of the enemy's sight, via both stealth abilities and abilities that favor use of the sniper rifle, although any of their primary weapon choices can benefit from this tree.

  • Dagger is the Agent's melee specialization. There are a handful of abilities in this tree that reset Run And Slice's cooldown when used, as well as those that let the Agent be a more effective close-range killer in general.

Mod Requirements
  • In addition to the requirements listed on the side, Long War of the Chosen is required.[www.nexusmods.com] You could repurpose the Agent for use with regular WOTC, but that would at the minimum require the LW2 Classes and Perks mod, plus a lot of restructuring of the classdata to swap out the LWOTC versions of skills with the LW2 Classes and Perks versions. This is entirely possible to do even without ModBuddy (just config edits), so don't ask me to do it for you.

Conflicts
  • There should be no conflicts to speak of.

Hello, @Kiruka. First, thank you very much for ModJam. It makes a difference. I found a balance issue with the Agent class. His Hacking stats go over the roof compare to other classes. Maybe a nerf would be good. I checked the StatType=eStat_Hacking,StatAmount value for each rank and it is OP compare to the Hijacker and the Specialist. Here is the Hacking progression with each rank:

AGENT
StatType=eStat_Hacking,StatAmount= 60/20/20/20/20/20/20/20 = 200 extra points
HIJACKER
StatType=eStat_Hacking,StatAmount= 50/8/7/7/7/7/7/7= 100 extra points
SPECIALIST (LWotC)
StatType=eStat_Hacking,StatAmount= 40/10/5/5/5/5/5/5= 80 extra points

Always wanted to see a class that doesn't do direct damage, but instead runs around stealthing things, maybe having the reaper's old explode cars/bombs tricks, tracking perk, etc. Expert at getting in and out unseen or doing damage indirectly and only having tiny if any damage of their own. Maybe this is as close as that comes now?

It never was a free option. Perfect Plan convina Falsafe, Parkour and Quick Feet. No one make free objective hack @StreamLined

Perfect plan doesn't seem to be making hacking a security tower or objective a free action for me, it's still costing a single action. I have mod jam and System Infiltration 2.2.

Not sure what the exact cause is, but getting that hacking reward that increases your hack by 10, seems to double your hacking score if you take the first hack perk. So instead of going from say 160 to 170, it jumped from 160 to 330... lol

Just so you all know, Proficiency Reaper is no longer required for the ability to hack an Advent security tower from an adjacent tile when equipped with a Hacker's Laptop, as long as you're running Mod Jam.
