Upuaut

Overflowing with the magic of a dead people, the Upuaut has many facets. He is the embalmer, the psychopomp, but also the scout and the vanguard. He is found at the edges, between the fields and the desert, between life and death, and from those thresholds he gains power.

Hail, O you who opens up the way, who acts as guide to the roads to perfect souls in the House of Osiris, open you up for him the way, and act you as guide to the roads to the soul of the Osiris, the scribe, the registrar of all the offerings made to the gods, him whose word is true with you.

The Upuaut is a front line support class. He only deals low damage himself, as his true strength lies in enhancing the power and longevity of his party members. His skills buff allies and debuff enemies, featuring tools for most situations and in almost all compositions. He is a healer, but his healing skill is only one of his toolkit, and using others will often be more favourable.

Funerary Rites

Heals a single party member. This skill has permanently reduced healing strength, but gains a boost for each of the following conditions: The target bleeding, being blighted, or being low on health.

Vengeful Ghost

Deals moderate damage to a single enemy. It gains bonus damage for each corpse and removes all corpses from the battlefield.

Libation

⬤⬤⬤⬤
Clears all debuffs from the party, increases the amount of healing gained and reduces the amount of bleed and blight received.

Grave Call

Marks and breaks Guard on a single target and prevents it from being guarded or healed.

Scout's Eye

Gives an ally a massive damage boost and the ability to ignore stealth for a single turn.

Shadow Curse

Substantially reduces the accuracy of a single enemy.

Feast of the Tail

Shuffles and slows down all enemies. Until their next action, their protection is negated.

Movement: Courageous Advance

The Upuaut can only move forward, but he feels so at home at the front line that he reduces his stress when moving.

OPENING OF THE MOUTH

Time Cost: 4
Removes the Mortality Debuffs from an ally, increases their death blow resistance for a few battles, and negates their food consumption for a very long time.

AT THE MOUTH OF THE WADI

Time Cost: 4
Prevents nighttime ambush, increases scouting chance and reduces torch burn rate.

MEDICAL CHARM

Time Cost: 3
Heals an ally and increases the Upuaut's healing strength.

VANGUARD'S CHARGE

Time Cost: 2
Increases the damage and dodge of the Upuaut in return for severely reducing his healing strength.

The class features all new sounds, art and animations for every skill.
Included are eight trinkets specific to the Upuaut: Five normal ones, a set available via Crimson Court and one Crystalline trinket. There is no Head, Pet or Sunward Isles trinket.
He uses the Altar of the Light district.
A critical hit boosts the Upuaut's debuff chance.
Due to his dog-like appearance the Librarian will refuse to travel with the Upuaut.
There is no town event. You'll have to get your first Upuaut via the stage coach like everyone else.
His canon name is Sed.
