BRRRRRRRT FA-18F Super Hornet Improved Cannon

BRRRRRRP!!!!

Lets face it the cannon in the other F-18 sort of sucked. This always made me kind of sad. As a Marine I have fond memories of our team's JTAC practicing calling in F-18 gun runs... the site of the mayhem on the ground followed by that BRRRT noise was AWESOME... so I want to give it to you in FtD (not as cool in a video game but still fun).

This new cannon is nasty. You've got x2 50mm (a real vulcan is 30mm) 6 barrel advanced cannons the size of the entire aircraft stacked on top of each other, so that's 12, 50 mm barrels firing at 1650 rounds per minute. Each fires it's own round to assemble the perfect penetration / HE combo at over 2300 rounds per minute.

What's better is that this comes with a Cannon HUD and an awesome "BRRRP" sound effect recording form an actualy A61 Vulcan gun. You wil spends hours strafing and ripping the tail end out of falcons... becasue it's fun as hell.

This gun configuration changed things a lot, so even if you're experienced at flying the other versions of the F-18 please read this carefully.

Pressing 8 no longer pulls the gear in.. don't do what I do and press it every time you take off because it now fires the cannon. Gear up is now "6"... gear down is still "7"

engine on, wings and canopy down is still 5, but opening canopy and bringing wings up is no longer 6... it's a manual blue button on your right.

You can fire the cannon with weapons selection 1, but I don't recommend it. 1.) there's a really good chance you'll blow the front of the aircraft off taking your ejection seat with it.. and leaving the aircraft with it's engines in tact swirling out of control. 2.) you don't get the awesome BRRP noise 3.) you don't get the cool Cannon hud display.

Do what you see in the picture. Get a good angle of attack, steady the bird, put the target in the "V" sweet spot and hold down "8"
