Well, some African history, like Ethiopia and Mali are really interesting, but neither of those are civilizations in this game.

Yes, I thought of that before, it would be a better idea! African history is as boring as piss, nobody would make use of it.

Seeing as you were able to create this through a utility, would you be willing to make a version of this that had less Africa, and more of Turkey, the Caucausus and Pakistan/India, in other words shifting the map Northeast?
