"We've spotted an airship on the horizon, sir. It's hailing us on neutral channels."

"Patch it through."

"Pzzzt -hailing Onyx Watch Kingstead. We are traders looking for safe passage and fuel. We've been fleeing Deepwater Guard raiders for several days."

A long pause.

"Let them through. But first tell our Cauldron to increase alert."

The unassuming airship drifted slowly over the Telemachus wedge ahead of them, over the Cauldron, and turned to match the convoy's movement. The Watch Captain took the opportunity to get a better look at the vessel, and had just enough time to register the long cylindrical metal tubes coming to bear on him, before the world became a deafening crash, followed soon after by an unending silence.

Next to him, another officer noticed shapes on the horizon, before he too was enveloped by by silence.

In making a small faction craft, I unintentionally made it very Deepwater Guard-y. A small airship armed mostly in simple weapons and a rapid firing flak AC. It's not incredibly effective, but it scores high in style points, with weapons that could easily go unnocticed from afar.
