While Necrotron's design is a brilliant idea - using the resistance of the spring stretching as the twist of the sway bar attempts to change its length; allowing the spring rate to control the amount of stretch and thus the 'twist' of the sway bar, the issue remains that quite frankly: it just doesn't work.

This is mostly due to design: the spring does not experience the appropriate amount of stretch for its spring rate to become an active component in controlling the amount of twist in the front sway bar.

So instead I have swapped the spring system for one made of what I nicknamed a Spaghetti Toblerone, or more accurately, the closest we can get to a torsion-resistant member in DCB.

The way this setup works, in terms of adjustments is by adjusting the height of the triangle - by using the yellow member in both cases - this changes the cross sectional area of the beam; if you make it larger, it gets stiffer and if you make it smaller, it gets softer (...I see what happened there).

While Necrotrons Post details some more car dynamics principles in more detail and far better than I could myself, the basic principles for sway bars still hold true here:

Stiffer front = More Understeer
Softer front = Less Understeer

Stiffer rear = More Oversteer
Softer rear = Less Oversteer

A final note is that sway bars are not the be all and end all for tuning the handling of your car. The first place to go over is weight distribution, Spring rates and suspension geometry.

Photo Guide:
1: Necrotron's with max springs
2: Necrotron's with mix springs
3: Mine with max Toblerone
4: Mine with min Toblerone

Pay attention to the angle between the lower control arm and the chassis and you'll see just how much of an effect it actually has.

While this particular design does indeed look like hot garbage, as a demonstration of concept I feel that it does its job.
