This Mod resembles our creative vision about what RP could look like if we look beyond the horizon ;)

What you see is what you get.

We completely reworked the gameplay of Atlas.
We wanted to maximise the immersion possible and removed certain safety mechanics that are usefull for uncurated public servers but not for RP communities.

1. We removed the ability to start a company
Companies often result in very limited RP people stay with their own group because there is no value in working with others because of arbitrary limitations like using certain things in the game.But it also creates a long tail of problems which we actually solved.

2. Every structure is usable by anyone
Ships, houses, workbenches. Everything is open to use. There is no variable that prevents an otherwise able player. We wanted to remove invisible walls in order to improve RP. We have thought of more immersive protection measures, even though they are never 100% safe, don't worry.

3. Keys to lock doors
One key element (pun intended) of our approach are door keys. Doors work like you would expect a door to work. No hidden rank mechanics that are confusing and invisibel. If you have a key to a door, you can lock or unlock it. Easy!

4. Ship rework
We reworked how ships work. You can't anchor your ship from the steering wheel anymore, you must build a nautical capstan on or below deck. As everyone is able to use your steering wheel we added a mechanical object that is able to jam the steering wheel. Build these things on lower decks behind locked doors and your ship should be safe until ...

5. Lock picking (Not yet implemented)
Because this is supposed to be a hardcore mod there is nothing 100% safe. We are working an a complex lock picking system that is difficult but also rewarding for both sides.

6. Treasure Chests
If you want to hide your stuff below the ground instead of a door, you can! We added advanced functionality to a Treasure chest that lets you bury it at a location you choose. Nobody will find it, right? ;)
Simply grab your chest, place it on the ground and start using your shovel. Easy!

7. Character Knockout
Do know the fear of being in awesome RP while far away from your respawn bed? Fear no more! We got you covered. In our mod your character doesn't die if it receives too much damage, it gets knocked out instead. Your character will be unconcious for a few minutes but other players can help you get up quickly. No time wasted running naked to your corpse :D

This is already a lot and there is much more to discover.
Feel free to use this mod for your own RP server or just for fun.

Final Note
This is a work in progress that is not fully functional.
Treasure chests currently don't work in single player.

To test the content of this mod use cheat gfi BeyondCheatBox 1 0 0 to spawn the cheatbox that contains everything.
