FM-3 Ruiner Medium Pirate Fighter

A little bit of industrial espionage goes a long way, especially when it comes to spacecraft design. The pirate shipyards have been churning out medium fighters under the name RUINER, bearing an eerie resemblance to a secretive corporate prototype. Sleeker than anything else the pirates have produced, Ruiners shred their targets with withering firepower.

The Ruiner is a battery-powered hydrogen fighter capable of maneuvering in 1.2 Gs for about 20 minutes (dry weight) on a full tank. I intended this to be a platform to test subgrid-mounted decoys. They don’t seem to work very well, but they look cool. It might help to defend against a tailing pursuer, but they seem to be of limited use in attack runs. With that exception, the Ruiner is a conventional fighter with six gatling guns and one rocket launcher tube.

Usage Notes:
Hotbar buttons are listed on the lower LCD in the cockpit.
At times the subgrids can cause random rotations. Not sure what can be done about this, but maybe don't afk while cruising over a planet.

The Ruiner makes use of a cruise control script. Triple-tap “w” or use the 5th cockpit hotbutton to activate cruise control, and triple-tap “s” to deactivate this mode. Using cruise control dramatically increases fuel efficiency.

This blueprint uses barred windows from the Wasteland DLC, but the ship will function normally without these.
