Dust Ranger, Rover and Station set

Hey, how u doing long time no see :D

New DLC and update, pretty nice. A lot of car parts, which to me r quite tasty XD. I do like the smaller cockpit. The old one has a lot of wasted space. But It seems that a lot of scripts don't recognize the new cockpit's control outputs. If there is a fix, I will update that in the future.


This build is mainly a test build for all the new stuff. This blueprint includes the rover, a garage and the fuel station. I will explain later. But if u only want the rover (and less dlcs), I've sent the rover saparatly:

The rover is pretty average in my builds. Smallest 4 wheels thank to the new cockpit. It runs on fuel and batteries. The new planet has dust storm, this rover is fitted with features for that (i.e. high visibility LCD panels, bright beacon lights, ground and fog lights). It also has the usual stuff like headlights, antenna, beacon, etc.

The rover can be printed, but the stations have subgrids.

The driver seat is on the left. For its toolbar:
1 is engine start, switch this of and the car will run on it's batteries.
2 is front wheel propulsion, and 3 is back wheel propulsion. U can switch off one of these for slower acceleration, good for parking.
All the rest r pretty straight forward.


The rover has a fuel tank, it can be refueled by connecting the hinge on the rear left. For this reason, I built a simple fuel station for refueling and lifting the car, U can install this to ur own base. I also built a garage that is fitted with the same mechanism. When u open the blueprint, u will find the rover docked to the garage, and the fuel station connected to the garage via a yellow bar. Get rid of that yellow bar.

To dock the rover, park it like it already is in the blueprint ( the little armour stick is there to mark the distance.) Then find the control panel at the front. Press
1 (lower/ lift fuel pipe)
2 (rotate hinge to lock/unlock the fuel port)
3 (attach hinge)

To unlock, press
4 (detach)
2 (rotate hinge to lock/unlock the fuel port)
1 (lower/ lift fuel pipe)

The landing gear on the top helps lifting the car. In the garage the control panel is located next to the gate. On the fuel station it's controlled using two buttons on the side.
