SMS Helgoland

The lead ship of the Helgoland class of battleships of the Imperial German Navy, the Helgoland was a direct improvement over the ships of the preceding Nassau class, featuring higher caliber guns in a similar arrangement. Helgoland herself participated in WW1, being present at the Battle of Jutland, though she did not contribute much. Helgoland survived the war and was ceded to England as a war prize, being scrapped shortly afterwards.
