Penrith, NSW, Australia

Penrith is one of the cities comprising Western Sydney. It is located at a crossing of the Nepean River and the foot of the Blue Mountains. Just like IRL, there are highways and major roads going North, South, East and West.

Being a river floodplain, there is some fertile land. Forests are widespread, but just like real life, tend to be in inaccessible locations. Introduced flowering trees are in the areas which are heavily populated IRL. There is ore, and the sandy area with ore to the North is Penrith Lakes, which IRL is still being mined for construction aggregate and sand. Like IRL, this map has no oil.

To anyone familiar with the area, the watercourses are set to flood levels to make it more challenging to access land.

Parklife and Mass Transit DLCs required. These are to simulate the various highway types and vast national parks in the Penrith area.

Match Day, Natural Disasters, Campus, After Dark, Concerts and Green Cities DLCs also recommended. IRL, the Penrith area is home to various sporting teams; is prone to forest fires, floods and lightning storms; and has large university areas. No workshop items required.

This map is the 2nd version. M4 needed more lanes, South Creek Floodplain was expanded, Northern Rd and parts of Great Western Highway was widened to dual carriageway, Old Bathurst Rd added and Caddens M4 entrance added. Also, the shape of Penrith CBD was altered.
