Clementine's younger self has arrived from Telltale's/Skybound's Final Season of the Walking Dead!

IMPORTANT NOTICE - As the previous characters update, there might be errors brought up about conflicts. If these appear, it doesn't matter if you overwrite them or deny them. There's a shared content folder that they'll be using from now on, which means if these errors crop up, then the material is exactly the same, and no matter what you select, no errors should arise.

I've tried making sure this model works as smoothly as possible. Some features of this model includes:
  • Facial Flexes for quick face posing!
  • Dynamic eyes with viewtargets!
  • Biped skeleton for use with rigs!
  • Face Bones to recreate any expression!

Skins
  • Skin 0 : Lines
  • Skin 1 : No Lines

She will recieve cosmetic updates in the future, which contains additional bodygroups- if I missed any- and skins.

With this model's release, I now present to you the "Source-ified Update," which will improve model shading.

What inspired this was helping someone work fix the 'blue gloss-like sheen' effect staying active, even if lighting was re-enabled or the materials were reloaded. It took a decent length of time, but we eventually discovered it needed an additional effect to be added via overriding materials. Instead of making everyone have to do the same process, and seeing as my shaders were rather simplistic anyways, I decided it'd be best to take expand my knowledge on Source's shading systems and advance the code a little. So, by referring to Valve's code for Left 4 Dead 2's survivor textures, I set about applying this to Young Clementine as an experiment.

Here's some of what this update will do:
  • EnvMap issues are fixed, meaning there's no more shiny blue gloss upon loading! Instead, there should only be a light shine that hopefully isn't too noticable.
  • Eyes have recieved noticable upgrades. By switching to the EyeRefract shader, they should now appear much more glossy.
  • All bumpmaps have been corrected, as some channels were apparently switched around, massively improving how light interacts with the models.

Of course, this'll be rolling out to the previous uploads as well, with Clementine recieving one today to coincide with her young counterpart's release.

A bit of behind the scenes: I made sure to look over each material and test if they were too shiny, since the new method can sometimes make the materials look like they came out of the rain. For skin and hair, their code will likely be universally the same across all characters, but I make sure to inspect the clothing materials and adjust things where necessary. This'll lengthen the update process a bit, but I want to make sure each character comes out looking a bit better than they did before. Of course I doubt my tests were foolproof, since this is my first time doing something like this, so if the effect is too much, I can update the model to tone it down a bit.

As mentioned in the important notice, if you're asked about overwriting textures as the update rolls out to the others, it shouldn't matter if you do or don't. In these cases, those two characters are making use of the exact same texture. This was implemented since these characters share a ton of textures between eachother, mainly with hair bumpmaps or eye textures. I mean, there's like... 4 different hair textures used between almost every character in the game, with only a few recieving their own unique ones, so I figured it's best to have this system to cut down on that.

Note ; The facial flexes are currenty unfinished. I left in the face skeleton so you can get the face you want or fix any issues found by combining two flexes as I have not done every single Corrective Shapekey. In spite of this, this is a full release since I can add those at any point and it won't majorly affect the model.

No offense taken. I never really considered porting these to Gmod myself, as these were more tests when I was beginning to learn how to port and I didn't want to handle the upkeep of updating them for SFM and Gmod simultaneously. Once I get through getting them all ported here, and am happy with how they function in SFM, then I'll likely get them to Gmod.

As for the metal skin issue, that is a product of my old materials. I'm not sure when I can get around to updating the others as I'm working on something else at the moment. If you need a fix for it though, then you'd have to personally go in the VMT files and remove the lines for "$normalmapalphaenvmapmask" and "$envmap". They'll likely look a bit more simple than Young Clementine, but it should fix that issue.

By the way, the reason why I prefer use Gmod over SFM is that I think Gmod is more user-friendly since Gmod is literally a game and sfm is more of a tool with a plethora of commands. And again, I appreciate your works, and I'm not here to complain you about not porting these mods to gmod.I just wish sfm and gmod have better compatibility so users like me can use model interchangeably.

Man, I really appreciate your work. The facial flex and eye posing are compatible with gmod.(I personally don't know how to port sfm models to gmod, I just simply place materials and model to gmod addon folder) Unfortunately, little Clementine is the only model unaffected by that weird metal plate skin issue, and the tricks you provided in the screenshot doesn't work in Gmod) Any way I really appreciate your works and it would be amazing someone could port this to gmod.
