WAR PIG

描述
VANILLA + DLC, SURVIVAL COMPATIBLE (I make no claims about practicality)

Years ago, an overeager pirate crew attempted a raid on a military transport over a backwater planet. Things didn’t go according to plan. A hulking wreck crashed down to the surface, but it wouldn’t go to waste. Refitted and rearmed, the WAR PIG is now terrorizing settlements and shipments across the wastes. Even military detachments have fallen prey to the heavy firepower and reckless aggression of the hog and its crew.

The wreck of a military transport proved to be the perfect shell for a swashbuckling landship. The WAR PIG retains much of the heavy armor but has been hollowed out to transport smaller vehicles or a massive cargo haul. The WAR PIG’s primary armament is a heavy missile turret reappropriated from a mining fleet and two point-defense quad gatling turrets that were ripped from the guard towers of a federal supply depot. The combination of these has laid waste to countless ground vehicles and even atmospheric warships.
When attacking fortified positions, the resourceful pirates have come up with another scheme: drones with copious amounts of explosives. The WAR PIG is stocked with four “RC-XXL” kamikaze drones that are small but carry an enormous payload in a large grid warhead. These drones have cratered numerous defenses, pock-marking the planet’s surface. There is still plenty of space in the hold that could be used to carry a variety of other vehicles.

The WAR PIG’s engines chug hydrogen, forcing resupplies to top off the batteries. This doesn’t stop the WAR PIG from getting a little extra boost from its hydrogen thrusters, greatly aiding in hill-climbing. However, it’s still a massive landship and suffers from the expected performance limitations.

Features:
  • 12 large-grid 3x3 wheel suspensions
  • Large-grid missile rotor turret
  • 2 Small-grid quad gatling rotor turrets
  • Cavernous cargo bay
  • 4 “RC-XXL” kamikaze drones
  • Hydrogen boosters
  • 2 Gatling turrets
  • 6 External interior turrets (not counting designators)
  • Adjustable front bumpers
  • 6 Cryo chambers
  • 2 Armored decoy groupings
  • Medical room

Usage Notes:

It is not recommended to exceed 30 m/s. At higher speeds, or over uneven ground, the front bumper should be raised to prevent collisions. It may also be beneficial to raise the height offset of the suspensions.

The rotor turrets are highly dependent on the interior turret designators. These can be protected by turning on the self-repair projectors and welders.

To use the RC-XXL drones: 1) Press the button on the side of the drone or remotely trigger the drone’s timer block to activate its systems. 2) (optional) Lower the piston connected to the drone remotely or by pressing the button under the piston. 3) Detach the merge block remotely or by pressing the other button under the piston. 4) Take control of the drone using the remote access menu (shift + k) or appropriate control seat. The drones are numbered on the cargo bay floor. 5) Drive. Keep in mind the drones are very top-heavy.
To use release drones 3 and 4, the carrier for drones 1 and 2 needs to be raised. This should not be done while drones 1 and 2 are attached, and there is a sensor to prevent this.

What will happen if I don't have X DLC?
The only DLC that has a significant impact is the Deco Pack #2 for its catwalks and railings. However, if you don't have the SotF DLC, the two text panels in the cargo bay will fall down, so make sure they are deleted before you drive off.

gotta love the fact that the only armor protecting the warhead on the drones is a bunch of LCDs saying "get sum!"

that detail is hilarious, and I need it in my life
